January was a great month. I got to spend new year's with Stacy, Wayne, Nynaeve, Trajan and Steve. We watched Beauty and the Beast and played Candy Land and Scrabble all night. It was perfect.
Then I got to fully cater a wedding in Provo, thanks to Riehl Events. It was my first big success as Crave Catering.
A week later I went to Hanksville with Steve to visit with family and see the sights. Pictures from that are in my last post.
I spent the next weekend in Wendover with Amber, Gregg and Brad. We got a sweet hotel room, ate some amazing buffets, listened to some live music, and gambled our pocket change away.
I watched all the seasons of Friday Night Lights. I'm obsessed! What an amazing show! I have fallen in love with Taylor Kirtsch and finally understand football.
A few days later I got a call from The MORE Project and was offered a position I had been dying to get! I couldn't be happier with it. It's an amazing organization and I work with great people. It is definitely worth the wait and all the hard work of these past several months.
While all of this was going down, I was listening to this playlist. It's perfect for everything this month meant to me.

my latest obsession
I have always loved TV. ever since I learned how to pull off a timed recording on my VCR I have been obsessed. then came boxed sets of seasons. I have Felicity, Will & Grace, Friends, Lost, and Grey's Anatomy. during college breaks these DVDs were my sanctuary. when I first moved to DC and was scared to death, Marti and I watched Felicity and it comforted me. it was my security blanket during such an unfamiliar time. that hasn't changed. for the past few months I have been in uncharted territory. no job and no for sure plan. it's strange and unsettling. that's where abc.com, Netflix and Comcast On Demand come in. I watched all four seasons of Lost at abc.com, three seasons of Weeds sent to my mailbox from Netflix, and what did Comcast On Demand bring into my life?
Dexter! if you haven't watched it, you must. I can't stop watching. at first I was just intrigued. curious. but now I'm full-on in love! so in love that I have dreams that Dexter is my neighbor and I have a crush on him, but he doesn't have human feelings which you know if you watch the show. I love all the characters. Angel, Rita, Masuka, Dexter, Miguel, and Deb. Deb is played by Jennifer Carpenter who also played Emily Rose. it freaked me out for a while, but now I love her too. they are all fast becoming my favorite imaginary friends. they are on showtime. you must watch.

more top 5 movies
as I have been reminded by a few of you, I left out a lot of the movies that I watch over and over in my previous post. I should have made it a top ten list, I just didn't want to stray from my all-time top 5 theme. so, here is my list of all-time top 5 movies I left out of the prvious post, which listed movies I can, and do, watch over and over and over. they are:
1 - You've Got Mail
2 - Disney's Beauty and the Beast
3 - 13 Going on 30
4 - When Harry Met Sally
5 - Love, Actually
they're pretty good ones, right? I could also add Wedding Crashers, but I won't because the list would then by 6 movies long instead of 5. ok, next time I am picking an easier category to narrow down to 5!
on another note, I have recently become absolutely obsessed with Lost. do you watch it? it's amazing! I can't stop. I have been watching episodes for a week now and am already in the middle of season 2. not only do I love the story, but the guys are HOT HOT HOT! I mean, check them out!

mmm mmm good! if you haven't watched this show, do it! you can watch all four seasons on abc.com now. it's definitely worth the time it sucks out of your life.

i heart scrubs

scrubs is the BEST SHOW EVER! I am very disappointed that I only recently discovered it. I have been seriously missing out. well, I mean, I always knew about it, but never watched it until a few months ago. and now I can't get enough of it! zach braff is at the top of my celebrity crush list, but he has been since Garden State. I think my recent obsession with scrubs secured him for quite a while though. and hey, he said he would marry me on myspace... ;) anyway, life is crazy busy lately, with my full time job, catering, my part time job, my church calling, my charity volunteer work, my apartment search, and trying to keep some sort of a social life, so finding time to sit down and watch scrubs is what I look forward to. if I am home and it is on, I can't talk myself out of taking a breather, sitting down and watching it. if you don't watch it, I beg you to reconsider, you must give it a chance, you will not be disappointed!
